The Sacraments
At Lamb of God Lutheran Church, we treasure the sacraments as precious gifts from God through which He delivers His grace, forgiveness, and promises to His people. Following the teachings of Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, we recognize the sacraments as sacred acts instituted by Christ that combine God’s Word with earthly elements to strengthen faith and assure believers of His saving work.
Through Holy Baptism, God claims us as His own, forgives sins, and grants new life in Christ. Through Holy Communion, Christ gives His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins, strengthening faith and sustaining His people. These gifts are not symbols of our devotion to God, but God’s gracious gifts to us, pointing us always to the saving work of Jesus Christ.
